  • The Hampshire Cricket Society - Day at the Cricket 2018 will be on Saturday 9 June 2018. Please save the date. Further details will follow when they are available.

  • Our next meeting is on WEDNESDAY 28 MARCH 2018 at THE AGEAS BOWL (8pm). The speaker will be ADI AYMES. Since leaving the game of cricket, he has worked in various management and coaching roles in senior non-league football in Hampshire, latterly with Havant and Waterlooville.

The Hampshire Cricket Society

The Hampshire Cricket Society provides an opportunity to hear and speak with many who are well known in the cricket world. The policy is to invite speakers from all aspects of cricket including players, umpires, authors, administrators, statisticians and others.

Between September and April there is a Programme of eight meetings each with a guest speaker. There are four meetings at The Ageas Bowl, Southampton and four at The Test Valley Golf Club, Basingstoke.

Recent speakers have included James Tomlinson, Jimmy Adams and Sean Ervine.

The list of distinguished past speakers includes: Hampshire Captains, former and current Hampshire Players, Godfrey Evans, Derek Randall, Derek Underwood, Graham Gooch, John Arlott, Donald Woods and Lord McLaurin.

Informative Newsletters are produced for each meeting and sent to members who are unable to attend.

At the end of each cricket season, members vote for the Hampshire Player of the Year.
